Eke Pahikara

 On the 17th of haratua Te Puna Wairua and Talamuka-a-Tonga went down to the boardroom and met Haylee, Jayare, Joe, Sifa and Sam. They all had something to teach us like Sifa he taught us the A.B.C.D.D.Q. The A.B.C.D.D.Q all have a meaning like A stands for air like air in the tire, B stands for brakes like brakes on a pahikara (bikes), C stands for the chain on the pahikara, the two D’s stand for direction and drop and Q stands for quick release. This was mainly for checking to see if there is anything wrong with the pahikara. There were multiple checks like the 4 L’s and the 2.2.4, . The 4 L’s stands for lean, levers, leg over and look, the 2.2.4 stands for 2 fingers above the eyebrow 2 fingers under the china and 4 fingers on the ears, this was mainly for the helmet, 2.2.4 is a way to see if you are wearing your helmet properly. After that we went outside and got split into 2 groups called Kārearea (Hawk) and Kahu (Falcon). I was in Kahu. On the road we learned how to take the lane, turn left and right and how to stop and start. Once we learnt all those we went on the road by ourselves. After all that we headed back to the akomanga.

It was a really interesting at time and I really enjoyed. I enjoyed riding on the bikes, going for rides to Pt. England and going around the block (that was near the kura).

Manaiakalani Film Festival

 On Wednesday the 11th of November, Tāmaki Primary went to Sylvia Park on the bus. We went there to watch all Manaiakalani school films which were from Glenbrae, Glen Innes, Pt England etc. I almost fell asleep because most of them were boring, to me, most of the content was not interesting because most of them were about COVID well nothing's wrong with that. It's just COVID is everywhere. The interesting ones were the film Haunted, You Are My Sunshine and COVID from Panmure bridge and the three films from Tāmaki Primary. We had some treats like Maltesers from my kapa haka teacher Matua Andre. After all that we got back to school and had a kai because it was lunch time.

We are learning about humans anatomy (Te matai o te tinana) but we decided to do the first human woman her name was Hine Ahu One and she was made by Tane Mahuta. She was made though the breath of life.

Smart Footprint

What is a smart footprint?

A smart footprint is when you delete something and it will never go away for example, if you go on something and you're not supposed to be on it and you want to get rid of the evidence you might delete it so no one can see it. But really you can’t because it's called a digital footprint means when u delete something you can see but you can't.

My week day back

Kia ora, here's my story of my first day back at school. My first day back at school i was scared  but before that i was at home and was shocked to be going to school cause i thought i was going get a HUMONGOUS!!! growling for not going on vc (Video call) well i did go on some but then the rest i didn't but then when i got to school i didn't get a HUMONGOUS!! growling.  I was just told "kia ora Hem" cause she calls me Hem. But at school i was shocked to see all my mates. At morning tea i had a race well a couple of races and after a few days of racing the back of my lap got sore so i rested it for days it was still sore but i could still run.  After a few days me and my mates play hide and seek tag that went well surprisingly cause most of the time when ever we play a game we stop playing or we have a argument. so thats my first week of school.

Our New Akomanga

Kia ora ko Hemi tooku ingoa. Our new akomanga is akomanga tekau but we call it Te Puna Wairua. I enjoy it in my new akomanga because it is a bigger akomanga. It's like two akomanga connected well a square cut in the wall. It's a humongous akomanga. There new student in our akomanga. There is toru tekau ma toru (33) that's how much student there are in Te Puna Wairua thats alot.

Taika Waititi makes films. Sometimes he acts in films too. His famous films are “Boy”, “Hunt for the Wilderpeople” and “Thor: Ragnarok.”

Taika comes from Raukokore. His dad is Māori and his mum is Russian-Jewish.

I am Pākeha (New Zealand European). When I talk about who I am, and introduce myself to others, I sometimes use a pepeha.

Yesterday

Yesterday, after lunch time I had to go to the International Womans hospital to see my nan that has almost died of a heart attack but survived! When I left, I had to go to my cousins house in on Mascot Road. I mostly played GTA and played games online, as well as Fortnite. For dinner, we had pizza from Dominos! We got Pepperoni and Garlic Cheese. I don't like pepperoni pizza, its way too spicy. After eating, my cousins and I played Spotlight for what felt like 30 minutes.
